At The Brewery, an exciting new venue in the City of London, the Relocate Awards saw its biggest turnout ever, with nearly 250 of the the best and the brightest in the relocation sector.
The black-tie evening began with a glittering champagne drinks reception followed by the venue's top class chefs' seasonally inspired gala dinner. In addition to the awards ceremony proceedings, there was thrilling entertainment and surprises throughout the evening from opera-singing waiters and mesmerising magicians which was hosted by seasoned speaker John Simonett.
Fiona Murchie, Relocate Global’s managing editor, welcomed everyone to this year’s awards, which, she said, were being held in “a fitting location in which to bring together the best and the brightest in the relocation sector, who are driving the global mobility agenda”.
Speaking of the importance of mobility in a fast-changing world, she told her audience, "What you do, in whatever sector you are in, is important", and added, "This is an exciting time for anyone working in global mobility, and we at Relocate are here to support what you do and the business travellers, the relocating employees, and the families." Relocate Global was also thrilled to welcome guests from as far a field as India, USA and Switzerland. This year too, over 50 per cent of our entries were international, confirmation of how the awards’ global reputation has grown.
Pierre Craddock of Countrywide summed up the feelings of many attendees when he said,
"Tonight's event has taken the Relocate Awards up to a whole new level for the industry and has been a really astonishing success."
