Ambitious European plans: DT Moving and Gosselin Mobility merge
Gosselin has acquired and merged DT Moving with its Gosselin Mobility operating companies. The new deal creates an enlarged pan-European moving network, aiming to operate extensively throughout Europe.
A unique opportunity
The deal brings together DT’s UK and France businesses under the Gosselin umbrella, creating an enlarged European moving network of 51 offices in 34 countries throughout Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The deal with DT Moving's managing director, Nick Kerr, includes a stake in the enlarged Gosselin Mobility group. Mr Kerr will continue to be based in London as MD and will join Gosselin Group’s Antwerp management team.“This is a unique opportunity for both companies; Gosselin Mobility expands its network in two key European capitals – London and Paris – renowned for corporate and diplomatic moving opportunities,” said Marc Smet, ceo of Gosselin. “DT Moving is a highly respected supplier of corporate international moving services and now gains access to a huge market from which it can strengthen and capitalise on growing business across Europe. We are grateful to incorporate DT’s huge expertise in these markets. “Our continuing expansion is confined to the European continent, based on sound commercial logic - DT fits this strategy perfectly. We want to be the pan-European mobility organization of choice for our corporate clients, business partners and global RMC’s.”Working closely for years
The two companies have worked closely for many years. Both are independent owner-managed businesses and both were looking for opportunities to grow and respond to the fast changing market in Europe. These synergies made the merger attractive for both sides. “For DT Moving this is a fantastic opportunity to respond to ever more demanding business opportunities across the whole of Europe,” said Mr Kerr, managing director of DT Moving.“As a continuing shareholder of this pan-European group, the future for the business and my team is very exciting. I look forward to focusing on integration and expansion of the combined DT Moving and Gosselin Mobility network.”Related news:
