Dulwich College Beijing

Dulwich College Beijing opened in August 2005 and is a coeducational day school for over 1,400 expatriate students aged 1 to 18. The College promotes the development of each student in an academically challenging, socially inclusive and diverse environment that includes students from over 45 different countries.

Children up to age five are in the Early Years Foundation Stage, and from Year 1 to Year 9, students follow the English National Curriculum, enhanced for international needs. The College offers a Dual Language programme in English and Mandarin for children from two to seven years of age and Chinese classes, streamed according to ability, begin from the age of seven. In Year 10 students begin the two-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) syllabus followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13.

In 2009, 2011 and then again in 2013 the College undertook significant expansion projects. The campuses now boast two theatres, a sports centre, two sports domes, an ice rink, ICT suites, black box theatres, sunny art rooms, ten science laboratories and outdoor learning spaces.

Dulwich College Beijing was named British International School of the Year in 2011 and has recently earned British School Overseas status from the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

In August 2003 Dulwich College Shanghai opened with just 26 children, ages two to five, in three classes.

Dulwich College Shanghai’s enrolment now totals nearly 1,500. The College is an academically selective school where the rigorous curriculum runs alongside an enviable co-curricular programme. This provides our students with a wealth of sporting, cultural and artistic opportunities. Dulwich College Shanghai is an inclusive international community where students welcome challenge with curiosity and enthusiasm. The staff members and parents are integral to this community and are very much part of College life.

The purpose-built campus is situated in the leafy residential Jinqiao district in Pudong. It is comprised of separate buildings that have been specifically designed for students of different age groups. The College hosts a brand new sports centre comprising a swimming pool, a gymnasium and grass sports fields.

Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi

Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi is a sister school to our Pudong school, and is located on a state-of-the-art campus in Puxi. Like its sister school, Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi is coeducational and academically selective.

The College currently offers Toddler to Year 8 classes for children age 2 to age 13. For the next five years the College will add year groups until its students reach Year 13. The College offers a Dual Language programme in English and Mandarin for children up to age seven, when they begin Chinese classes streamed according to ability.

The new College is a purpose-built campus set on 40,000 square meters and includes a dedicated sports centre comprising an eight-lane, Olympic-sized (50-metre) swimming pool, a triple gym and football field. The College theatre seats 500 people and the campus has flexible indoor and outdoor learning spaces divided into separate buildings specifically designed for DUCKS (children ages 2 to 7), Junior School (students ages 7 to 11) and Senior School (students ages 11 to 13).

Dulwich College Suzhou

Dulwich College Suzhou opened its doors in August 2007 on the eastern side of Suzhou. The College currently caters for close to 1,000 students in Toddler classes up to Year 13. The primary teaching language is English, with a Dual Language approach in Mandarin and English in DUCKS (for children up to age seven). Children up to age five are in the Early Years Foundation Stage, and from Year 1 to Year 9, students follow the English National Curriculum, enhanced for international needs. In Year 10 students begin the two-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) syllabus followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13.

On campus students have access to libraries and media centres, science laboratories, music rooms, art and design technology workshops, 700- and 360-seat theatres, two black box theatres, two dance studios, and an aquatics centre. The College is surrounded by 50,000 square metres of sports fields, including grass pitches, a new FIFA2 quality all-weather surface pitch and a 400-metre running track. This is complemented by a large multi-purpose gymnasium and outdoor tennis and basketball courts.

Dulwich College Suzhou has expanded to meet growing demand in Suzhou and the surrounding region with the introduction of boarding facilities and now offers full time and flexible boarding to students from 8 years old. Students have additional time to study, the opportunity for extra tuition from boarding house staff and the use of the school facilities.

Dulwich International High School Suzhou

Dulwich International High School Suzhou offers three- or four-year university preparatory courses for Chinese and international students wishing to pursue their tertiary education overseas. The primary teaching language is English and the courses offered lead to the IGCSE and A-Level examinations. These academic qualifications gain students entry to some of the world’s most prestigious schools including Cambridge, Oxford and other Russell Group universities in the UK, Ivy League universities in the US, and leading institutions in Canada and around the world.

Dulwich International High School Zhuhai was established in 2010 as the first high school in China linked to a UK independent school. Dulwich College International formed a partnership with the Huafa Group and the prestigious Yung Wing School to develop an international academic programme for Chinese students wishing to pursue their tertiary education overseas. Dulwich International High School Zhuhai offers three- or four-year university preparatory courses for Chinese and international students. The primary teaching language is English and the courses offered lead to the IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
