Brighton College in England was founded in 1845 and is the top performing co-educational school in the UK, achieving the very best academic results and an outstanding record of entry into the world's leading universities. In 2016 a record 39 pupils gained places at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
The third of the Brighton College international schools, Brighton College Bangkok will open its Pre-Prep School, for children aged between 2 and 9 in September 2016. The Prep and Senior Schools will open in September the following year. The College's aims are consistent with every school in the Brighton family, fostering the following in all its pupils.
Brighton College Bangkok will follow the Brighton College Curriculum, which is based on, and extends, the English National Curriculum. In the Pre-Prep School our experienced team will shape the curriculum to suit each child's interests and needs, providing an exceptional grounding in the basics of numeracy, literacy, IT, problem-solving and collaboration. Our pupils will also benefit from the expertise of specialist teachers in art, music, dance, PE and languages including Thai and Mandarin from age four. It is this unique combination of specialism and personalised learning that will make a Brighton College Bangkok education second to none.
From Year 5 (age 9) pupils will receive specialist teaching in academic subjects and will have the choice of an extensive range of subjects at IGCSE before progressing onto A-level/IB in Year 12. Brighton College Bangkok's inspirational teachers will use innovative ways to deliver the curriculum. Every child in unique and our teachers will create a nurturing environment that encourages pupils to pursue individual thought, creativity and academic excellence.
It is this ethos of excellence, combined with a balance for the world outside the classroom and our supportive house system that provides pastoral care at every stage of the College, that develops each pupil's talents and ensures every achievement is noticed. We want every pupil at Brighton College Bangkok to be a first class version of themselves rather than a second class version of somebody else.
