Kim Green
Kim Green, Head of School, International School Ho Chi Minh City

An experienced educator and school leader, having work in international schools in Laos, Bangladesh and Qatar as well her native New Zealand, Kim is passionate about building community and nurturing authentic cultural connections.
Kim holds a Masters in Educational Leadership (UK), Bachelor Degrees in both Education and Social Science (NZ), and Diploma’s in both Teaching (NZ) and Management (Aust.) and is a Doctoral Candidate in Leadership and Coaching. She is an Independent Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Consultant endorsed by Lynn Erikson and Lois Lanning and a Cognitive Coach. In 2014 she published ‘Re-thinking Leadership Development in Schools’ a book that presents an innovative and effective framework for leadership development in schools. Kim shares ISHCMC’s beliefs, the domains that allow the school to operate as a truly international school and values that center the community and its members.

Emmy Koch
Emmy Koch, President, Student Executive Team, International School Ho Chi Minh City

As a Third Culture Kid, Emmy has lived internationally for longer than in The Netherlands where she is originally from. Emmy shares her experiences as an international student and how ISHCMC offers more opportunities to its students. This allows them to design their own personalized pathways compared to other international schools. In her final year of the IB Diploma Programme at ISHCMC, Emmy is preparing her applications to universities in the United Kingdom. A key component that Emmy is proud to share with higher education institutes is the Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) initiatives she has either lead or been part of during her time at ISHCMC. Emmy is the leader of ISHCMC’s Student Executive Team, which champions the voices of students in the school and beyond at a local and international level.

Kim Blackett
Kim Blackett, President, Parent Teacher Organisation, International School Ho Chi Minh City

Having lived as part of the international community, away from the United States of America, for nearly ten years, Kim has firsthand experience and knowledge of international schools as a parent. A member of ISHCMC’s community for three years, Kim welcomes new families to the school and supports their transition to life in Ho Chi Minh City through building connections and relationships with other parents. In her role as President of the Parent Teacher Organization, Kim leads a team of parent volunteers whose mission is to energize, engage and empower the whole community and build school spirit.
