Carrie Clark, pilot and inspirational speaker

Think Women International Womens Day Carrie Clark

Carrie Clark’s aim is to help transform the aviation industry and make it more diverse and accessible to young people, whatever their background or gender.  Globally, there is a global shortage of pilots and only 3% are female; Carrie plans to be part of changing this.

At 17, Carrie obtained a Private Pilot License and has spent the next 11 years studying and working to become an airline pilot. Now 70% of her way through Flight School, she is still funding her own studies to qualify, through a range of activities, events and loans. At a cost of £85,000-£130,000, students need to be self-funding and this can seem prohibitive to many.

Carrie has a publishing contract to write a motivational book, and plans both to establish a support/networking group for professional female pilots and to tour UK schools to help educate children about realising their career ambitions.
