CNN names its top 10 Women’s Day events
CNN has published a list of ten events across the world it claims “you’d be crazy to miss” to mark this Sunday’s International Women's Day.

The CNN top 10 events:
1. SheTalksYVR Conference, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada – speakers include entrepreneur and founder of the Ladies Who Lunch network Maria Kritikos; magazine publisher Jodie Emery; and Bethany Borody co-founder of Ghana-based consultants Amplify Governance.2. Women of the World Festival, London – an eight-day extravaganza of comedy, theatre, literature, debate and networking celebrating women and looking at the issues that matter to women today. This year's focus is on male violence against women.3. Women’s Walk, Accra, Ghana – a 12-kilometre walk through central Accra in support of gender equality organized by Eventstreet Africa.4. Queens of Noize Celebration of Women in Rock, Sydney, Australia – female-fuelled rock n’ roll mini-festival.5. Mums and Girls Code, Luxembourg – introductory English-language workshop in coding that mums and their daughters can get involved in. Presented by Microsoft Luxembourg, Geek Girls Carrots and Workshop4Me.6. WeCon Women’s Empowerment Conference, Austin, Texas – The second year of this community conference and resource fair for women, girls and anyone else in Austin.7. The Empowerment Bridge, New York – high-powered annual forum that brings together leaders to look at ways of empowering women and girls globally to bridge the gaps in opportunity so that they can support themselves financially and become more independent.8. Women in Science Breakfast, Auckland – breakfast at the Stardome Observatory and Planetarium with three pre-eminent female scientists who will discuss their work and careers.9. International Women's Day at Tech City, London – a celebration of women’s work in creative and technology industries in London's top tech hub.10.
