A new school for pro tennis, a collaboration between the Justine Henin Academy and St John's International School, has launched in Belgium.

The Justine Henin Academy and St John’s International School are proud to announce the launch of the School for Pro Tennis, aimed at attracting the world’s best tennis talents age 11 and over to Belgium. It will combine the high level academic programmes of St John’s International School with the Justine Henin Academy programme, renowned for turning young tennis talents into professional players.“The high quality education and boarding programme offered at St John’s provide the world’s best tennis talents with a unique combination aimed at reaching their full potential in tennis and academics,” says Justine Henin, tennis legend and successful coach of young talent. “Players can pursue a professional tennis career, while keeping their options open to attend top universities around the world.”Athletes will reside in the boarding house at St John’s and follow personalised academic plans, with individual teaching support, to successfully accommodate tournaments and intense practice schedules alongside the academic requirements.“We are honored and excited to extend our partnership with the Justine Henin Academy on this programme, that will create a world class opportunity for tennis talent,” according to Elaine Purves, Head of School at St John’s International School. “Our holistic approach and focus on each student as a unique individual ensures the each of these tennis talents will have the emotional, physical and academic support they need to combine their dream of becoming a professional tennis player with an International Baccalaureate (IB) education.”
