We enjoyed welcoming award entrants and attendees of the Festival of Global People to a fabulous Gala Awards Dinner at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London on the evening of Wednesday, 15 May.
There were plenty of surprises in store celebrating success across this fast-paced and growing international sector. The Gala Dinner was a high-energy occasion with entertainment from Bamboozle, renowned for their upbeat music and double bass stunts, seamlessly combining the retro vibe of the swinging 1950s with the sounds of today.
The band combined singer/guitarist/songwriter Jim Knowler (The Keytones, Gotz Alsmann), injecting his exciting guitar riffs, with singer/bassist/songwriter Serena Sykes, providing electric vocals and daring double bass stunts, while drummer/vocalist Les Curtis (Imelda May, Wanda Jackson), and pedal steel guitarist Dave Kirk (steel/vocals), complete the dynamic line-up.
Fitzrovia’s Theatrical MC, Mr Alex Barclay, was back by popular demand after presenting the Relocate Global awards at the Globe Theatre’s Underglobe venue in 2018.
Alex welcomed guests upon arrival and added a sprinkle of performance zest to the drinks reception, before commanding everyone through to dinner and welcoming in the feast.
Later Alex lead the presentation of awards, calling each winner up on to the stage to receive their well deserved trophies.
We had tears, joy and surprise at the Relocate Awards Gala Dinner as we celebrated the industry's finest and announced the winners. A sparkling evening and fitting finale to the Festival of Global People. Find out who won our iconic awards by visiting our winners page.
