The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL), offers an early years programme featuring play-based learning for children as young as 2 and continues with primary school and secondary school programmes culminating with A-levels in Year 13. Students from more than 60 nationalities learn, collaborate and build together; making the school community authentically international.BSKL places students at the heart of everything we do. Including a personalised learning programme that allows teachers to challenge students to grow, while assessing them against their own past performance. This ensures that all students experience growth, are open to trying new opportunities and will be invested in their learning and success. Our teachers know each child and engage them in an exceptional learning environment. This results in happy children who look forward to coming to school each day and working to achieve more than they thought possible. A positive education curriculum in primary school helps children unlock even more potential by building habits and skills around resilience, self-care and communication. A pastoral focus in secondary school builds on those skills as the academic curriculum becomes more challenging.BSKL uses the English National Curriculum as a base while making enhancements to the learning specially designed for students at an international school. Delivering this curriculum via personalised learning, with a focus on happiness, provides students with a strong foundation to achieve. On average, our Year 6 students score 10 points better than their international school peers on end of year assessments. Our IGCSE students perform well above the UK average and amongst the top private schools in the world, with 81% of grades being A*-A last year. The programme delivered the Best Global IGCSE Results in Nord Anglia Education for an astounding three consecutive years. Our A-level students also perform extremely well with a 100% pass rate and 100% of students earning at least one university offer. Past graduates are attending universities all over the world, including Imperial College, University of Oxford, St. Andrew's University, University College London (UCL), London School of Economics (LSE), King's College London, and University of Edinburgh, as well as universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Our campus provides outstanding facilities across three striking state-of-the-art interconnected campuses in one convenient location. Facilities include three indoor sport halls, two swimming pools and two full size football fields. The music and performing arts programmes have a 650-seat theatre and over 20 specialist music and dance rooms, whilst three unique libraries cater for everyone and are stacked with over 20,000 books.
