Mark Freed, Co-Founder, Men For InclusionHow to Achieve True Equality in the Workplace”Mark Freed is the co-founder of Men for Inclusion, an organisation engaging men in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. He champions the idea that inclusion benefits everyone, working to break stereotypes and foster cultural change. Mark has developed strategies to involve even resistant men in DEI, creating thriving workplaces.  Previously, Mark founded E2W, promoting gender equality in financial services. Over 25 years, he supported women through coaching and systemic change, collaborating with HM Treasury on the Women in Finance Charter and addressing the Gender Pay Gap. Frustrated by slow progress, Mark shifted focus to engaging men as allies, founding Men for Inclusion to drive collaborative solutions. He has also influenced initiatives like Powerful Women  and the Diversity Project and contributed to inquiries such as the UK Government's "Sexism in the City." Mark is committed to building inclusive workplaces where everyone can succeed.

, Founder and Managing Director of Eres Relocation and Eres LegalEres Relocation provides destination & immigration services in 7 European countries (Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Czech Republic), and Eres Legal provides immigration services all over Europe.Elaine is British and moved to live and work in Spain for one year in 1991. When that year ended,(and the job with it) and with no desire at all to leave Spain to return to the UK, Elaine began to provide destination services to US nationals arriving in Barcelona with a major US multi national company.  Thirty four years on, those timid beginnings have developed into an international destination services company with 120 employees and 200 field consultants, operating in 7 countries and working with more than 800 global client companies. In 2024 eres managed more than 8000 international services.Elaine studied History & Business management in the UK, and International marketing and communication at INSEAD Business school in Paris. She lives in a small mountain town , 30 kms outside Barcelona with her husband and son and her very energetic golden retriever Shelby.Despite her more than 30 years in the Global Mobility Industry, Elaine is still learning: “Stay curious, positive and optimistic, always, try to learn something new, and look for the humour every day” is her mantra. , Chair of Permits FoundationGill Gordon is Chair of Permits Foundation and has been a Board Member since its establishment in 2001. Gill spent most of her career with Schlumberger (now SLB) and her last appointment was as HR Director UK from 2014 to 2020, based in London. She held many different positions including HR Director for the global seismic business, Director Executive Compensation for Schlumberger, and HR Director for the global R&D population. She played a key role in setting up and developing a shared services organisation for the HR function in Europe, Caspian and Africa and was also HR Director for a global electricity and gas utilities business.Gill was involved in a number of strategic initatives in the areas of career development, diversity and divestitures as well as numerous acquisitions and divestitures. During her career, she spent over ten years in expatriate assignments in France, Germany and the US. Gill started her career in international HR at Ford Motor Company and has a BA Hons. She co-leads Intermark Relocation with her business partner, Marina Semenova.She is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in international affairs and managing global businesses in locations across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and worldwide. Irina worked for NGOs for many years before working in the Global Mobility industry. She is skilled in Cross-Cultural Communications, People & Talent Management, Immigration Law, Global Mobility, and HR Consulting. Irina is a well-versed operations and client services professional with an M.A. in Linguistics and Cross-Cultural Communications, an M.A. in Management and Strategic Planning from Moscow University for Economics and Statistics, and Business Coaching from Erikson Coaching International.Irina has been a proud TIRA member for five years and previously served as a TIRA Board member for two years. She is also an Executive Board Member of EuRA.Irina was born into a Jewish Ukrainian family in Moscow with strong family roots in Ukraine and Israel. She resides in the U.K. with her family. Dr Sue Shortland, Professor Emerita, London Metropolitan UniversitySue Shortland, PhD earned her doctorate in gender diversity in expatriation at the University of Westminster where she previously lectured in International HRM before retiring from teaching in July 2024. She holds the title of Professor Emerita, London Metropolitan University. Sue remains an active researcher and has published in a wide range of peer-reviewed academic journals including: Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Global Mobility, Career Development International, Gender in Management, Personnel Review, Employee Relations, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, and European Journal of International Management. Her specialist research areas lie in diversity and gender in expatriation and in corporate governance with a focus on executive remuneration.
